Sally J. Roth, B.S. – I am a true “Okie from Muskogee!” I was born in Muskogee, OK and grew up in East Tennessee where I fell in the love with the mountains and learned the art of southern hospitality. I went to college at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN and earned a B.S. in psychology with an emphasis in Women’s Ministry. Five days after I graduated from college I married my high school sweetheart, Clifton Roth. I count it one of my greatest gifts and adventures to mother our 3 beautiful girls who are all named after flowers.
I have experience as an executive assistant in the corporate world. I spent 5 years working as a birth doula, caring for and coaching mothers as they make their way through the journey of pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Since 2004 I have studied and continued to learn more about soul care and counseling.
I started working for Crosspoint Ministry in 2012 and have been trained and mentored in a Relational Modality of Soul Care which honors the relational created design, the psychological developmental realities, and the transcendent relationship we can experience with God through Christ. I count it one of my greatest privileges to journey alongside of folks as they attend to personal growth, disappointments, betrayals, wounds, and life-transitions. I am trained in consulting on the Enneagram Personality Profile. I often work with women who have experienced relational betrayal in marriage.

Clifton W. J. Roth, MA, PSAP – I was born and raised in beautiful Chattanooga, Tennessee! I literally “cut my teeth on the back of a church pew” and my parents instilled a deep and rich faith tradition in my 5 siblings and me. After 3 years of Bible College I was challenged to broaden my horizon and pursue a degree in Organizational Management from Bryan College. In 2004 I married my high school sweetheart, Sally Jane and we set off on what has been an incredible adventure together! After two years in the D.C. area we moved to Louisville, KY so I could work on my Master’s degree at Southern Seminary. Louisville quickly felt like home! We planted roots. We bought a house, received the blessing of 3 daughters and took a job with CarMax that turned into an amazing 8-year career in sales. Since 2014 I have had the joy and privilege of serving as a staff pastor at Sojourn Church Midtown.
Over the last 5 years, I have had an increasing passion for joining individuals and couples that are searching for hope, freedom, and healing from the pain of sexual sin, addiction, intimacy disorders, betrayal, and shame. The shame and guilt around sexual brokenness, especially in the church and for church leaders, seems suffocating at times. But I am here to say there is hope, because I have experienced it! One of the most valuable gifts I have recieved in my recovery is the gift of guidance in trusted relationship. I am grateful for the opportunity to get to serve others in the same way.
Along with my MA from SBTS, I have also completed CrossPoint Ministry's two year Soul Care Institute training and am certified as a Pastoral Sex Addiction Professional (PSAP) from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals.
You can contact Clif directly at (firstname.lastname@example.org) for guidance and help with sex/porn addiction and betrayal recovery as well as spiritual life coaching.
